Metropolitan Association of Upper Silesia organizes a third conference of the cycle: From the city to the metropolis – the ways of Europe’s development. It is being held at Angelo Hotel in Katowice (24^th Sokolska Str.).

This year’s edition is focused on the management issues in the metropolitan areas.

The representatives of the state administration, local self-governments form the main Polish metropolitan centers and the university experts are invited to deliver lectures and take a part in discussion.

Mr Greg Clark - the international authority on development and urban management - will be the special guest of this conference. He has 20 years experience in leadership roles in city agencies in London, UK, and many advisory roles world-wide. He is currently: Lead Advisor on City and Regional Development at the UK Government Department for Communities and Local Government, Senior Fellow, ULI Europe, Chairman of the OECD Forum of Development Agencies and Investment Strategies, Visiting Professor in City Leadership at Cass Business School, City of London, and advisor to global cities and global companies world-wide.
